Processing happens on your device
Lumo resizes, compresses, and converts images in your browser. Image files aren't sent to a server for these steps.
Your browser downloads the app when you open it online. Once offline setup is complete, image preparation can work without a connection. Read about offline use.
Your original files stay unchanged
Processing creates prepared copies. You choose when to download or save them. Removing an image or batch from Lumo doesn't delete its original file or copies you've already saved.
Unfinished work is stored in this browser
Lumo uses storage on your device to help you return to unfinished work. That saved work can include copies of your original images, prepared results, and batch settings.
This work belongs to the browser and profile you used. It doesn't sync to another device. Browser cleanup, private browsing, or clearing site data can remove it. Save important results as files.
You choose which folders Lumo can use
Opening a folder requires your permission to read it. Saving copies to a folder requires permission to write there. Direct access depends on browser support.
Folder automation is optional. With Auto-process & save on, Lumo writes prepared copies to the source folder's optimized subfolder. It requires an active, visible session. It doesn't keep working after you close Lumo.
Removing saved work
Use a batch's menu to delete it from Lumo. To remove the current session and its recovery copy, choose Clear workspace in Settings. Other saved sessions can be removed separately in Settings.
Clearing Lumo's site data through your browser removes its locally saved work and offline app files. It doesn't delete original images or exported copies on disk. Export anything you need first.
Website statistics
We use Umami, hosted at a.kreativiq.se, to understand which pages people read and which links they use on this website. We count Open Lumo clicks, image previews, clicks on the workflow link, and use of guide search. We don't send the words you search for.
Statistics include the page path, the referring website, and which Open Lumo button was used. We remove URL query parameters and fragments before sending these details. The analytics server receives your IP address and browser information with the request. Umami uses request information to distinguish visits.
Analytics does not set cookies. We skip analytics when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. This tracking applies to the website, not the Lumo app. Your images, filenames, and folders are not included.
